If you are a racing sim fan then you will love this one. My husband has both games; and waited anxiously for this one to come out. He had played the first one for soo long and knew that the new one coming out was supposed to be better. And amazingly they didn't disappoint. The graphics are truly amazing and the video streaming is almost perfect.
I like the fact that you have to get licensed before you can race and that you don't start out with a big amount of money. You start off with 10,000 dollars and have to build a car starting with that. And as you progress you make your car better. Off of the winnings of the races that you compete in you win credits and with that you are able to build your car up. Depending upon the licenses that you have obtained (took my husband about 2 weeks straight to get them all) depends on what races you can compete in. Another thing about the licensing is that it allows you to get a feel for some of the other cars. Not all of the races have a prize automobile for winning; but some of them do.
What this game has to offer that the first one didn't are the rally races on dirt; which is pretty kewl. Other things that it has to offer you; more tweaking on your cars; offers more auto dealers to buy from; it even gives you the chance to buy some of the older classic muscle cars; and of course more tracks. The Laguna Seca is a particularly hard one. I know my husband yelled and screamed at that track a lot and still does.
Overall this game is always a winner. There are soo many ways and variants to play this game; that you can never really beat it. Therefore I would recommend this game 100% of the time. I would recommend it to the teenage years to the male testosterone upper age level. So strap on your seat belt and have a blast. If there are any cons to this game; I would have to say that what I hated most about this game was that you couldn't test drive cars before you buy them.
