SSX! What can I say? I have four launch titles, and each of them has something about them that keep my PS2 from getting powered off. SSX is great because of graphics, sound ( the music is point blank the best I've ever heard on a game!), playability, and controls. All these factors blend nicely together, and provide countless hours of gameplay. The showoff mode, which is a trick-fest, is extremely challenging...to the point where it is almost frustrating! But my scores are continuously improving, and in time I'm sure I'll appreciate the fact that it isn't just repetitve button mashing, but a true showcase of all the different tricks you are able to perform. The race mode is cool, also challenging in the finals rounds. The only thing that I don't care for is the punching and pushing while going downhill...although you do seem to feel pretty darn redeemed when you make somebody else eat snow for a change! Bottom Line: Why are you still reading this? Go get the frickin' game!
