| ChriseyB's Full Review: Caesar's Palace for PlayStation 1 |
Almost a year ago, I purchased Caesar’s Palace by Interplay to add to my Sony Playstation game collection. I purchased the game for many reasons, but there were two main reasons. The first one is I love gambling simulation games. The second reason was it was on sale for $5.00—as cheap as I am, I couldn’t pass a deal like that up.
I brought it home and popped into the console with the hopes that it was good and was not on sale because the game was a bore. Thank goodness it met all my expectations—and then some! This game is fantastic. The only thing that could make it more real is if you could actually win real money.
The game play is simple. You enter the sign-in post where you visit the cashier, you sign-in with your name, and he starts you off with a little money. You then go to the lobby and choose a game to play. The games you can play are slot machines, blackjack, roulette, craps, and baccarat. If you are not familiar or not sure exactly how to play, don’t worry because this game actually offers tutorials that show you how to play each game.
As you play each game, you gamble your money that you are initially given. As you win a game, you earn more cash. The more cash you have, the higher you can bet, and the more you can win. If you should lose all of your money, then you must start all over again at the sign in post. If you are playing with a second player, your co-player can lend you money. If you have a memory card, you have the option to save your game and any cash you might have won or lost. If you don’t have a memory card, you will have to sign in every time you play the game.
The graphics are standard. Nothing really overly impressive about them. As for the sound, they are realistic. From the talking of the dealers and hosts to the sounds of wheels spinning and cards being shuffled. All in all, this is a good game.
Caesar's Palace is great for anyone who likes to play casino games--real or simulated. It is a fun inexpensive way to gamble without really losing your pants—unless you are playing an interesting variation with that special someone and you have to... Never mind, scratch that last statement—I’ll save it for a later Epinion.
Game players, this is another good game to have in your collection. If you are unsure about it, try to rent it. Give it a try, you won’t be sorry—of course, this is just my Epinion…
