| istari's Full Review: Unreal Tournament for Windows |
I must confess; I generally HATE games belonging to the first person shooter genre. But being a hardcore gamer, I do give each and every game I hear of, a shot. I read about Unreal Tournament on one of my favorite gaming sites. I went and downloaded the demo - it took my breath away! It fits the typical first person stereotype. All action, no story line. But it was the way in which the action is delivered that got me. It was completely set up like a Multiplayer arena. The Artificial Intelligence(AI) was incredible on the game, which, unlike some other games, made it like an actual multiplayer experience. All of the bots included taunts, and you actually got to know them, and their styles of play. I waited egerly for the full game to be released, and bought it soon after it came out. I was very pleased with the full version. The modes of gameplay are wonderful additions to the reply value of the game. Plus the ability to set up practice matches of any mode of gameplay, against a user set number of bots, with each bots own difficulty setting, was awesome. I highly recommend this game to anyone.
