butts and boobs don't make a game

All right, first off, I hated Tomb Raider. I found it dull, like a "Meet Joe Black" version of Prince of Persia 1 & 2. The only reason anyone liked it was because it was the first big breasted heroine to appear in 3D gaming.
Anyway, this isn't much different. Only it's worse. I didn't even finish the game I hated it so much. Despite being based on the Quake 3 Engine (which makes everything look pretty), the gameplay, and sound are terrible.
I'll admit, the graphics were nice. Watching as Julie's outfits became smaller and smaller over the levels was really the only thing that kept me going. If they had replaced the plot with "The more levels you beat, the less Julie wears", I think their sales would have tripled. The gameplay was terrible though. You notice it less when there isn't much going on around you. But when a battle breaks out, you'll be pounding the keyboard in frustration. The weapon switching is slow and badly laid out. The actual fighting is almost worse. With the exception of Rune, I have yet to see a good 3rd person adventure game. There is very little fun in the way of playing the game. The sound was too little, too late and seemed muted most of the time (what I mean is that it didn't really bring you into the game. If you want a good example of a game which used sound to completely immerse you, play Unreal, 1st level).
I thought this was supposed to be a butt kicking chick, but she plays more like an anorexic model with no combat experience. Simply put, it's a bad game. Ritual thought pretty colors was all it took to make a good game. They should have learned from "wonderful" games like Danger Girl.
If you're wondering why I didn't comment on the plot, it's because I couldn't really find one worth mentioning.
