This game might sound like a rip-off. But hey it is. Crash team racing has some Diddy Kong Racing with Mario Kart 64. How is it like Diddy Kong? Will it has a story mode and on this story mode you drive around a island joining races and collecting stuff. It's like Mario Kart because of the same game play. You can choose up to 8 different characters. Crash Team Racing also has 16 levels and you can join cups. ( Cups are where there are four levels and you collect points for what place you get )
Crash Team Racing has some really cool weapons.UnLike the Green turtle shell you have a bomb that you shoot, yet it is a little to slow. You homing missiles instead of Red Turtle shells. Instead of a star you get a mask. Instead a banana you have TNT. Yet it has new weapons like a force shield that protects from everything that tries to kill you. Overall: I be leave Mario Kart has more weapon yet CTR has cooler ones.
Game play: The game is great, yet it's kinda harder then Mario Kart. The level's in CTR are really cool. Yet they have allot of jumps. Allot of the time you can't make the jump. Yet CTR is better in a other way. In Mario Kart the computer cheats. In Mario Kart when the computer gets hit by a Turtle shell it slows down. When you get hit you go flying in the air then take a sec to start up again. The computer also use's all the weapons in CTR not only 2. Overall: CTR is a bit more fun, because you and the computer are equal. 8/10
Control: Mario Kart control is allot better. Mario Kart is allot more loose and easier. CTR is really stiff making it hard not to fall off and it's really hard to land some of the jumps. Yet in CTR you can turn in the air. Unlike Mario Kart. That gives away a more of a real feel. Also the shoot button is in the wrong place. 6/10
Graphics: The graphics are really 3-d yet the colors aren't has solid has Mario Kart yet are allot more 3-d. The Background is really 3-d, yet not a that smooth. 7/10
Sound: The characters sound really cut in. When somebody talks it sounds really bad. They did a cheap job on this. Each person says about 5 things each. The music is ok nothing really. 7/10
