This isn't my game. My friend Kathy owns it, and she initiates the games. To play with someone who owns the CD, all you have to do is download (very quick) the Hasbro software so that your computer can read the files sent.
Here's how it works: Kathy will open a new game, and she will list my email address as player 2 (you can only have 2 players). Then, she plays a move (or passes, so that I will start the game), and Hasbro sends me the file. She doesn't even have to wait for it to upload the game board.
Then I get an email, with an attachment. I download (in about 2 seconds) and then I open the file, and it shows the Scrabble board. You are randomly given letters, and you drag them onto the board to make your word. You can pass a turn, and get all new letters, or you can challenge a word your opponent played. This is a very simple game to learn, and I recommend it for anyone.
The only problems we have encountered is that sometimes we misplace a move, and then we have to start a new game (although this usually happens when I am winning and Kathy "misplaces" an email).
I haven't played any other Hasbro games online, but I would probably be willing to buy one later on.
