My husband bought this game and at first I thought it was just another guy thing. After sitting and watching him play the game for hours, I was drawn into playing it. I believe what did it was the fact that this game had NO GUNS!!! The plot is excellent and reminded me of stories I read as a kid. I have played the other Zelda games and enjoyed them, so that was another reason why I wanted to play this one.
I enjoy this game more than the other games my husband has because there is no senseless violence and does not have adult themes. I deal with adult things all day long, when I play a game, I want it to be a game. The character starts out as a little boy and eventually through many trials, becomes a man. I like the graphics and plot changes. I also love the varied peoples of Hyrule. Another thing that I love is that it changes from day to night and you get to see it! Some games I have played don't show this and because this Zelda game does, it makes me feel like I'm really there.
This is a game that I definitely recommend to parents. Some religious people that I have talked to had reservations because it has fairies and monsters, but its better for a child than DOOM or Quake.
