| eatmor's Full Review: InterAct SharkPad Pro 64 2 N64 |
Well, I got this controller as sort of a gift. My brother got it real cheap and wasn't using it, so he gave it to me. It is definitely not my number one choice of controller for the N64, so I used to leave it in my car to play four player games at friends' houses until my friends kept complaining "Why did you bring that crappy controller?"
Their reason for not liking the SharkPad Pro 64.
This is the worst part of this controller: the feel. The way this controller is designed you have an awkward grip on it. This grip causes you to loose sight of where your right thumb is, causing you to mess up or look down to readjust. The absolute worst part of the grip is the way your left thumb is positioned on the steering nob. The middle handle is thick and forces awkward movement only made worse by the nob having a bowl shaped head. This head makes you place your thumb directly on top which really hurts you in a good game of multi-player Goldeneye 007 by limiting your thumb movement. Normal controllers' nobs are dome shaped allowing the user's thumb to push the nob easily with good control.
Other features
The best is that the price is less considerably from the Nintendo brand controller. The "slow" and "auto" features do not work that well with the games and can even mess you up if accidently pressed.
Everything else works the same, only the controller awkwardly fits in your hand. Because of the lack of design, this controller causes you to loose control. The price is good, but would you go into battle with a gun you could not hold?
