Pros: Fast action, lots of killer moves, and highly detailed characters were fantastic!
Cons: A soundtrack with a faster beat to match the blazing action and more characters would have earned Bloody Roar five stars.

Thankfully, Tekken is not the only great fighting game series out there. The fast frame rate, awesome visual effects, and anime-styled characters were some of the best graphics for a PSX fighter. The sound effects were nicely-crafted, but the beat to the music could have been more high-tempo to better fit the mood. The controls were a cinch. Only Street Fighter has crisper controls than this game. The only downside to them were the combos were a bit tricky to pull off. With all the extra options, (although i found the time trial mode useless), the replay value is pretty good. The addition of hidden fighters like in Tekken would have been a great improvement. But all-in-all, i get a kick out of this game whenever I sit down to kill a little time (and zoanthropes) for a while. I highly recommend this to any fighting fan.
