Just too much for a memory card

You know when you get a new system like Playstation 2 your going to need a memory card. If you don't have a memory card you can't save your games and you will have to start over everytime without a memory card. The reason why you need a memory card is so you can save your progess in the game and continue where you left off.
This memory should have been included with the first purchases of a playstation 2 because they know everyone will need one and they didnt even have enough of them the first week and I couldn't get one because they were sold out so I had to wait a week later. I couldn't save my game progess I was playing so I had to do the same thing over and over without a memory card. So I had to get one as soon as possible.
But are these memory cards really worth it because the memory card only holds 8 mb of memory on one card and a game takes about 420 kb which 1 mb is 1,000 kb that's still like an old memory card to me. I seen a game that needed 16mb that's 2 memory cards you have to get for 1 game. They should make the memory cards hold more memory like 24 mb because these new playstation 2 games take a lot of space.
These memory cards cost to much for what you get. They will cost about $34.99 for the sony brand and that's all I get because I want quality for my Playstation 2. I feel i am getting ripped off with these memory cards amd they make you need the memory card so you have to buy it. I recommend you get a memory card now if you don't have one.
