I've always loved playing the board game Scrabble, so much in fact, that I received a game as a wedding shower gift. When I found the computer version, I purchased it immediately.
The game can be played with as little as one human player and as many as four. You can choose a computer player to compete against, pick the skill level(out of 6 different levels) for the computer or pick a customized level. The game automatically keeps your record of score, your highest word scored, highest game scored and how many games you have won.
Some other benefits of playing on the computer are the Scrabble Player's Dictionary, a customizable dictionary, a hint guide (which is of great help, when you are really stuck!)and fun graphics. After placing a word, you can pick your own tiles or have the tiles be picked for you. You can also play over the internet, if a friend has the Scrabble game too. The game also has options that you can pick for the game in general, such as the color of tiles, the background scene and the music played.
On the downside, I have found the game occasionally runs very slow, sometimes becoming "locked". The music is also very annoying, thank goodness for the option of turning it off.
If you are a true Scrabble fan, you will definitely love this game! Its fun for the whole family, if you don't mind sharing the mouse.
