RoseNews's Full Review: The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time for Nintendo 6...
I am an avid fan of Zelda64. I just have never completed the first dungeon. I know exactly how to, it's just that I can't bring myself to do it. I couldn't handle it after I heard the scratching noice of a lurking Skulltula. I opted to watch someone else play.
You see, Zelda64 is a fast-paced RPG.(Role-Playing Game) RPGs generally have a storyline with characters you can get into. Tetris for example, is not an RPG.
The Basic Storyline Of- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
(If don't already know)
Link is a young boy who has grown up in Kokiri Forest. All the people who live in Kokiri Forest are children who will never grow up. Many of them have green hair.(That's just a pointless fact) The Great Deku Tree is the guardian of the forest. All of the children have a personal fairy to watch over them. All except for Link.
Link had been having terrible nightmares about a girl on a horse, fleeing from an evil-looking man who was chasing her. The girl was not alone on the horse. A person was quickly taking her away. As the man came by, he looked at Link with a chilling glare. Then poor, little, Link wakes up.
One day, The Great Deku Tree sends Navi the fairy to be Link's fairy. Navi quickly goes to Link's house to become his fairy. When she gets there, she finds Link sleeping. After three tries she wakes him up. Navi tells him the that The Great Deku Tree had summoned him. This is where the real adventure begins.
The Deku Tree tells Link that an evil man from the desert is trying to get control of Hyrule. The Deku Tree wants Link to meet Princess Zelda to find out more information. Also, The Great Tree has been infected by the man and is sick. Link must go in The Tree to destroy the evil that the man had done.
If I keep telling this as a story, my epinion will never end. Just a few more things though:
1.You must ultimately fight Ganondorf aka The Man From the Desert 2.Ganondorf is trying to steal the Triforce 3.Three goddesses created Hyrule and left the Triforce as a sign of them 4.It is said that whomever gets ahold of the Triforce will bring either prosperity or destruction to the kingdom.
Zelda has a perfect mix of comedy, sorrow, games, adventure, and puzzles to keep you occupied for months. It has something for everyone, even the most frightened of players.(me-thank goodness for the fishing pond!!!) I hope my description has made you want to play it!!
P.S. I know a few of the songs for for my flute. Post a comment about it and I'll give you the notes.
