What is there to say about SSX? Anything that has ever sounded good. SSX is an amazing game and most certainly shows the true power of the PS2. The graphics are amazing, the control is smooth, the levels are extremely well designed, and it is probably the most enjoyable and incredibly fun snowboarding game any of us will see for a while. SSX takes advantage of many of the PS2's capabilities to make an overall AWESOME experience.
How many of you hear about a new snowboarding/racing game and think "nah...I'll get bored of it in a week"? Well this is something you won't have to worry about. Never Have I seen a racing game with so much to do. The game offers a total of 8 courses plus a secret untracked course. But along with these areas comes a free ride mode, a showoff mode, and a racing mode. Within the showoff mode and racing modes, there are three different awards you can get (bronze, gold, and silver medals). After being award with these, you earn experience points (almost like an rpg) which you can use to upgrade your character's speed, durability, edging, and tricks. Did I mention HUGE tricks and combos for HUGE points? But if your thinking that that's not a big deal, there's more. If you want to master the game, try getting maximum stats for everyone, getting all the new boards, getting all the new outfits, getting golds on all, and completing all trick books. THIS IS A GREAT GAME! DON'T MISS OUT!!!
