I surprised her under a tree at a favotire childhood spot

When I was going to propose to my wife, I had no clue how to do it. We had talked about it and pretty much new we where going to get married some day. I had just gotten my first job since graduating college and now that I was making the big bucks, The time was right to ask. Besides that I could tell she was getting impatient with us discussing it so often. Any way I went out and tried to find a ring that fit the style she had told me she desired. Boy I hit it right on the head. A hint for all you guys out there, get the ring without her. This allows you to surprise her beyond her wildest dreams.
I finally decided on how I would do it. So I gathered all my props and picked a time and place. It was a sunny fall Sunday morning. We where to go to a local restaurant to have brunch with my extended family. While on our way I drove us near the spot I wanted to do it. At this time she was upset because she didn't want to be late and wanted to know why I was goofing around (some times I do things for no reason, thus she thought this was one of those times). The spot I was going to take here was in a thick woods in our city's largest park. I asked here to get out of the car and walk with me.
At this time she was figuring it out, so she got out and curiously walked into the woods with me. About 150 feet into the woods at an intersection of two very old and beaten paths was a large grouping of old trees. This was a special place where my childhood friends and me would play. We felt like we owned the woods. I walked her up to the tree, which had lovers' initials carved into it dating back to the 30's. I then pulled out of a small paper bag a container of Ben & Jerry's "Chubby Hubby" ice cream. She had every clue what was going on now. At that I got down on one knee and said something to the effect "I love you so much. Would you marry me?" By now she was crying with joy as I pulled out the small gray box with the ring in it. She said yes before I could even open the box. I placed the ring on her finger. We began to kiss with a passion we had not felt since we began dating. I think we made out for about 5 minutes. Later I know the spot I chose was perfect. What could be better than to propose to the mother of my children at a place that brought me such great joy in my own childhood.
