How about a Gas Card?

May 04 '00

If you are struggling with a gift idea for that teenager who has outgrown the action figure stage, how about a gas card? There are many different gas stations who offer these cards and you can make it any amount you want to! And with the price of gas these days you can be sure it will be appreciated. It is used just like a plastic credit card. And you know if you give $20.00 to this nice young driver and say 'hey, you can save that for gas' that no matter what he says, he will not. It will go into his pocket and once you are out of sight, so is your great suggestion. But, having the gas card in hand will be handier than most young drivers realize when they are trying to live off of their part time job and their parents too. (There comes a time when that well begins to run dry also).

And you can bet that the parents are going to appreciate it too. Because that is just one less time that they need to shell out the money. Check with the gas chains in your area. BP is popular around here. And so is Sheetz. Check in the local area that is closest to the teenager's house and I am sure you will find some willing gas station chains.

Every Christmas, along with all the other expensive stuff they get from me, I try to stuff one into their stocking. Try it out on your favorite teen! Chances are, he will really appreciate it.
