Pauls Styling Foam (Medium Hold ONLY) by shinarainey Pros: It works like no other product i have ever come across and im not exaggerating!
Cons: Its pricey but i figure, people spend a lot of money at the hair salon Is the geatest thing that has ever happened to my curly hair, i get compliments on it evry single day, people even ask me if it is real! I am half black and half white so my hair is "mixed" texture, leaning more on the coarse side, and i was never ever able to where my hair down until i discovered this product 6 years ago and now...... Its just beautiful I wish i could post a pic, or you can look me up on myspace or facebook, my name is Tashina Rainey, please check my hair out!

Great Facewash by anima1_kid Pros: Silky, moisturized, cool, fresh, clean skin. Pleasant fragrance. Mild acne-clearing.
Cons: Non-dissolving beads difficult to rinse; They surprise me later around my hair and ears. Leaves face clean, fresh, and healthy feeling.

I use it as my twice-daily facewash, often with a Buf-Puf. I don't have terrible blackheads and other acne anymore because I use minocycline, but it seems to keep away the minor pimples I would get as well as if I washed my face with any other oil-combatting product (including soap). It is as effective as any other salicylic acid product (very mild acne clearing). I LOVE the way my skin feels after rinsing my face. Instead of feeling tight and dry it feels moisturized, cool, fresh, and clean. I prefer it to any other salicylic acid face wash and scrub I've tried. The blue beads are difficult to rinse away completely (I was very startled when I mistook the beads for some sort of insect in my hairline), but I find them strangely charming. |

great scent by lovelyladyone Pros: lasts all day.
Cons: Very hard to find these days and maybe it is not being made anymore. I totally disagree about Woodstock! Hey, I was there in the 60's and this is nothing like that. I used to spray down the dirty hippies with air freshner onboard airplanes! Really. I know patchouli oil (lived in SFO) and there is none in this. It's not hearts and flowers, it's spice and NICE.

Used it for years until they hiked the price to 5.99 (at least) by tonystuff Pros: Heavy, smooth, it works
Cons: Medicine smell (boyfriend hated it), EXPENSIVE, greasy. I loved this product and it is not for everyone. The older I get, the drier my skin seems to get, especially during the Michigan winter months. I started using it in the winter but it became a really good moisturizer for the night, after I take a shower and before I go to bed. By morning, the stuff is really in my skin. I used it faithfully and gave it for gifts to all my friends until the price sky-rocketed. So I did some research and found a lot of people liking this Burt Bee's Salve but moving over to BagBalm because of the cheaper cost. So that is what I did. I use BagBalm at least five times a day now, since I work in a factory and wash my hands about 5 times a day, and now I give Bag Balm as gifts to my friends. As much as I like Burt's Hand Salve, it is just to expensive for me, especially during these bad economic times.

been all around this world by loadster Pros: UV light keeps it clean.
Good fan power. Reservoir visible/sturdy. Reusable filter. Controls simple. Cons: Inaccurate humidistat. Lower tray has lots of corners to clean when it needs. I've gone thru three Hunter units and one from Sanyo and this one is better. Yes its loud on high but it also runs on low and gets my humidity to a comfortable 50% in southern MD.

I keep my house buttoned up tight and let the thermostat on my Trane heat pump do what its supposed to do so it tends to pull moisture out and this keeps things comfortable for my 2000 sq. foot living space. I got this one at Sportsman's Guide and will probably buy a spare just to have on hand. The Hunter's are ok but they all have problems with either the water pump shaft linkage failing or the power supply or fan motor croaked or the controls failed. Other people claim the pan leaks but I've never suffered that. With this one and any of them, you need a separate hygrometer to verify the output and comfort level. |

Waste of money by judycutie Pros: None
Cons: The scent is not bad, but it is not pleasant either. Makes hair oily. I bought this product to make my hair less oily as it is supposed to dry the scalp. Unfortunately, it makes my hair much oilier. So much so that I my hair looks wet.

Very Harsh on Skin by mrs_darsey Pros: It is readily available at Wal-Mart.
Cons: Very harsh on skin. The product has a "microdermabrasion" concept, but rather than wicking away dead skin cells, the product made me break out. Since the product is so abrasive, I was very careful not to scrub my face but rather use soft gentle circles like they do when I get a facial. After I used the product, it didn't really feel like my skin was clean. It just felt like I ran sandpaper over it with the hope that dirt would come off with the dead skin cells. I actually bought the product because it advertised "unclogging scrub." I had versions of dewy clean skin with fresh pores that could breathe fresh air. Instead I got raw red angry skin and acne that lasted 3-4 days.

Best Toner I ever used! by mrs_darsey Pros: Clear skin and tiny pores.
Cons: $6.00 a bottle. I wish it were $4.00. This is by far the best toner that I've used. The pores under my eyes seemed oddly large, and the different toners that I was using were not working. Within 2-3 days of using this product I saw a real visible difference! Additionally, the product does a really good job of getting rid of those little blackheads. It also does a very nice job at cleaning off bits of make-up that I might have missed during with my face cleanser.

No change for me by mrs_darsey Pros: I always like to visit with my Mary Kay person!
Cons: It simply did not work for me. I tried this product numerous times over the past year. For some reason I keep using it with hopes that it will one day work. Unfortunately it does not. I tried using it once a week for a month, but I had no change. Then I tried twice a week for a month, no change. I'm a realist so I know the product will not make me look younger and will not make my lines go away. But I was hoping that my skin would look "brighter" or perhaps have some kind of "healthy glow." Instead, the product did not perform any better than the Biore products that I buy at Walmart.

Don't give them your phone number -- they will harass you for weeks by afalsafi Pros: Decent facilities.
Cons: Can you say used car salesman? I made the mistake of trying out the Sunrise, FL branch for one day. After the usual sales pitch, I got a decent workout. That was over a month ago. I'm still getting sales calls from them. I even called and yelled at them and told them to stop calling me because I'm not joining their club. But I'm still getting calls from them.

One of the best by ohmyallergies Pros: Very strong air flow which means it can clean larger sized rooms.
Simple to operate. Cons: Not very attractive - looks like a traditional appliance. Larger than we expected it to be. The Whirlpool Whispure air purifier is very simple to set up and operate. We simply removed the air purifier from the box and plugged it in. The power controls are very intuitive and access to the filter requires removal of the cover that can be tricky to open and close but most people find this easy. The filter requires replacement every 6 months but there is no cleaning involved. The frame is made of plastic and the shape of the air purifier and design of the air grilles give the air purifier more of an industrial look. It was clearly designed by an engineer so it won't win any design awards but you can't argue with the performance. I like this product by santron Pros: Does what it says that it does.
Cons: Not the cheapest out there, but worth it. I have fairly thin hair, and this shampoo makes it feel a little thicker and easier to manage. Every time I travel somewhere and have to use whatever shampoo is in a hotel, I definitel miss my Thickr, Fuller, Hair Shampoo.

There are better oils out there. by santron Pros: Economical, bottles are great for travel and last years in a travel bag.
Cons: Too thick, gooey. Did not spread easily on beard like Pacific Shave Oil. I really like using shaving oil versus gel/cream, and I like the cmpact size of the bottles for travel. King if shaves was too gooey and too thick and difficult to use. I have tried several shave oils and like Pacific Shave Oil the best.

Malvern PA by colebee Pros: Clean, friendly and fun staff, open 24 hours
Cons: The colors take some getting used to I'm not sure why everyone complains about PF. Dollar for dollar you can't beat it. Clean gym, friendly staff that has always offered help IF ASKED, and open 24 hours. Want more perks and different colors then you'll pay for them. I'm so happy with this particular PF and so is everyone I know.

Excellent coverage - doesn't feel heavy by felimur Pros: Covers virtually all skin imperfections
Cons: Like most make-up, rubs off easily on clothing; price This make-up is light but provides excellent coverage. The included sponge is soft and applies perfectly. It gives a matte finish and is perfect for oily skin. Also good for combination skin because it didn't affect the dryer areas of my face. It's one of the few make-ups that I've used that doesn't require me to blot my face all day.

It has a smooth, creamy feel as it's appied. You're supposed to apply powder to set it after it's applied. I don't always use powder to set it, and it still lasts for hours. However, the powder does make it more matte and helps it to last longer. This is my favorite make-up ever because it combines the best aspects of liquid foundation and powder foundation. It's not as dry as powder foundation and it's not as translucent as liquid foundation. It covers virtually all skin imperfections once you select the proper color. The only drawbacks are 1) price - costs about $24 in department stores for full compact - refills approximately $18, and 2) it rubs off easily on clothing since it's not fully a powder foundation. |

Unto the Sahara by rbuchanan Pros: Ingredients include no sulfates or any other godforsaken chemicals; smell is inoffensive.
Cons: Leaves my hair very dry; scent is inappropriate for shampoo; lathers poorly. To be sure, the ingredients of this shampoo are harmless, admirably organic and natural. Unfortunately, the performance of this stuff is substandard. It smells nice, but this is a scent better suited to an aromatherapy candle than hair. It barely lathers, and only when a lot of it is used; my hair is fairly long, and at a conservative estimate, I use an eighth of the eleven-ounce bottle's expensive contents every time I scrub my lovely black locks.

"Hydrating" shampoo, my buns! My hair is as dry as the Mojave after I've used this stuff, and if I don't follow it with conditioner, putting a comb through my wavy coif is sheer torture. Not recommended. This review has also been posted to Amazon at: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2O3W4U2WRVG57/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm |

The Beginning of the End by ohmyallergies Pros: Great for odor removal
Cons: Ozone is produced which can be harmful, particularly those with sensitive respiratory systems. As you can see in other reviews the Ecoquest Living Air is an ozone generator and not an air purifier that will remove allergens from the air. If you are looking to remove gases such as odors from a room this could be a good product for you. Some hotels use similar products to shock rooms to make them smell fresher. If you are looking for an air purifier to clean the air of dust, pollen, etc then you should get a HEPA air purifier. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is moving forward with banning ozone generators for sale in California beginning in Oct 2010. In our opinion this could be the beginning of the end for these ozone generating units that can do more harm than good if run constantly in an enclosed living area. http://www.air-purifier-ratings.org/
