What is RSS?
|
| |
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication." It's based on XML, which is a flexible format for exchanging data. Our aim with RSS is to provide the reviews you see on Epinions.com, minus the website itself. Our RSS feeds deliver just the content you want, stripped down for use in an RSS reader, or for republication elsewhere.

How do I subscribe to a feed?
|
| |
At the bottom of our pages, you'll see three buttons. Click the "RSS" button for direct access to the feed. Newer web browsers will display it in an easily readable format, and older browsers will show you the raw XML code. Either way, you can copy and paste the URL of the feed into any RSS reader to subscribe.
We've also provided convenient macro buttons for adding the feed to your My Yahoo! start page or Personalized Google Homepage. Do you use another service to subscribe to RSS feeds? Let us know so we can consider adding a macro button for it.

Can I publish the RSS feed on my website?
|
| |
Yes. You can publish Epinions RSS feeds on another website, subject to our terms of use. Always provide Epinions attribution and always provide a direct link to the review page for each item in the feed. Never alter or selectively hide elements in the feed, and never use our RSS to republish Epinions reviews in their entirety.
