Pros: Whips well, lots of options Cons: "Walks" on high speeds. Lid is a struggle to put on.Wording hard to read.
This blender has a 450 watt motor and comes in several different *speed* options. You can choose from 8-speed, 10-speed, 12-speed, and 14-speed. I picked the 10-speed as it seemed to be a good compromise between power and price. I use my blender to mix ...

Pros: Company with good reputation, powerful motor Cons: Plastic jar probably not as durable as glass
I received my first Oster blender around four years ago. My great-grandmother had just died, and my grandparents and I were at her house cleaning out her old stuff, determining what to sell and what to keep. We came across her old Oster...

Pros: Inexpensive, value-priced, basic blender. Cons: No fancy frills here.
It’s hard to believe now that I went for over a year without a blender. I crushed, ground, and liquefied with my last blender until it died a sad, burning-rubber death shortly before a move, and somehow never got around to replacing it. First it was ...

Pros: Doesn't burn out! Easy to clean. Cons: Make sure you get that little rubber ring in place.
I haven't had a lot of luck with blenders in my lifetime. The first one I bought didn't last more than a few weeks before I came home to a smoking blender and a guilty-looking roommate. I bought a second one, and before long it met the same fate (this...

Pros: Mixes well, makes good drinks Cons: Plastic container does not stay on blender, you must hold it while blending.
I love cold frozen drinks, whether they contain alcohol or not.
This Oster Blender is just perfect for them. Though it is not my mothers blender. It was another one of my many wedding gifts and once again was not the blender I had asked for, but it...

Pros: Light, Just as functional as costly blenders. Very powerful. Super easy to clean and use/setup. Cons: You have to hold the top of the base as you blend, it's fine though.
I got this blender after my circa 1989 Oster gave up the ghost, and it was a high dollar one back in the day. I got this one not expecting much but I got so much more in terms of the quality of how it blends and how powerful it is for such a cheap/simple ...

Pros: Does what it's supposed to do Cons: Hard to take apart for proper cleaning
I received this as a gift, and after using it once I had to return to the store and exchange it for a new one.
When I tried to take the blade parts off to clean the jar out properly, it was stuck! We tried everything we could think of to get it...

Pros: easy to use, easy and light to clean Cons: Can't think of anything
My husband and I went in search of a blender after tasting the new frozen coffee drinks at our local Baskin Robins! After tasting these drinks I was in love with them, the thing is they were so expensive! I knew I could come close with the taste of them...

Pros: price, power Cons: jar seems slightly fragile
I should admit it right away that this is the first blender I have ever owned. However, even so I must say that I really am positively surprised.
A bit more than a month ago, I bought this blender basically because the price was good, a mere...

Pros: None Cons: LOUD, BROKE AFTER 6 MONTHS
First, let me set the record straight. We like mixed drinks, but we did not make them enough times to have this blender die so quickly. I remember the night it happened. We had the mix, the alcohol, and a few ice cubes in the blender, with eager...

Pros: Powerful, easy to clean. Cons: Plastic jar nicks easily..go with glass.
First, let me tell you what I "don't" like about this blender. The plastic jar. It got a chip in the handle the first 2 days I had it and it was very carefully handled. Also, I was removing the bottom to clean it and the blade caught the jar...

Unmitigated Disaster.
by fdoamerica ,May 05 '08
Pros: plastic blender jar Cons: Noise, vibration, cheap construction.
It is very sad that Oster put its name on such a piece of crud. I have used a 10-speed Oster blender for 18 years ... it was a work horse and would be on my counter now had not the blender jar fallen on my tile floor. When I looked for a replacement it was $14.95 plus shipping (Amazon.com) but Target had a new Oster 10-speed for $17.99 (normal $19.99). No Brainer, Right? Thus, I bought this model and found out what a piece of junk it is. The noise level is extreme, it must exceed 90dB - (the noise level of a leaf blower - really!) The vibration is so intense you can not take both hands off of the unit.
What happened to quality control at Oster, or Target for that matter? But then again, you get what you pay for. But wait, on a positive note, the plastic blender jar worked fine.
NOT RECOMMENDED
