Pros: Good if you have limited space in your kitchen. Cons: Not so good if your dishes are oversized.
NOTE: The photo Epinions provided for this item is actually a picture of GE’s 18” Spacemaker dishwasher. The under-the-sink dishwasher only comes in white and bisque and looks like a standard dishwasher from the front.
I eat out a lot...

Pros: Quiet as a sleeping church-mouse Cons: Doesn't clean dishes unless you wash them before loading
While the GSD2000 series is a pretty appliance, it lacks in certain areas. The lower rack isn't tall enough t ohandle some pots & pans, and the rinse agent dispenser hasn't worked since the day we moved in here. It was brand new upon arrival, and...

Pros: It IS an automatic dishwasher Cons: It doesn't wash dishes clean
I don't know about you, but when I use a product I expect it do do what I bought it for. The GE Model GSD500P-25AW under-the-sink dishwasher fails this basic criterion.

Why can't they make a good under-the-sink dishwasher?
by desau13 ,Nov 25 '06
Pros: It'll fit where most won't. Cons: Doesn't work for anything other than a drying rack.
I recently remodeled my small kitchen. In the process, I managed to fit a dishwasher in, if it was under-the-sink. After much searching, I found the only one was the GE GSM2100. So I spent the time to find the required shallow sink and worked out the plumbing.
After all was done, I was fairly happy with how the installation turned out, and even by the styling of the GSM2100 in my kitchen.
That all turned south when I started using the thing. Perhaps it's just because it's a cheap dishwasher (I spent $1200 on the range, $1200 on the refrigerator -- both of which I'm very happy with), however this poorly-assembled, cheap plastic dishwasher was only $350 and price shows.
It does a very poor job of cleaning, especially glasses in the top rack. If you put anything in the bottom, the top just simply doesn't get cleaned.
For now, I'm back to washing dishes by hand. I'm looking again, maybe I can make the fisher-paykel drawer washer fit.
