Pros: Cooks perfectly every time Cons: None. Expensive but worth it!
Recently, I made up my mind to purchase a "high quality" gas grill. I quickly narrowed my choices down to one of two grills: Weber Genesis Gold Series or the Sam's Member's Mark Stainless Steel model that they've been selling for several years for...
Pros: Quality, tank included, very quick assembly, great manuals, great warranty, very even heating Cons: Way too expensive, cheesy looking removable plastic (nylon?) shelves, heat controls on working surface.
I haven't had this grill (Stainless lid model Cdn $999) for long but so far I am impressed. Last weekend we had about 30 people over for a BBQ and put the Weber to work.
Assembly Getting the BBQ out of the box was the hardest part of...
Pros: Best grill I have ever owned Cons: It's a Weber, so it's expensive
I purchased my Weber grill at the end of fall last year. I have owned a Coleman, a GrillMaster, a CharGrill, a Wal Mart special and another piece of garbage I bought in college.
Let me tell you, stop screwing around with all these other...
Pros: Solidly built, stainless steel burners, cooks well Cons: Ignition system is dicey. Has some hotspots and coldspots.
I would love to have one of those shiny stainless steel $4000 patio Hummers, but frankly just about any grill will cook meat. Durability and reliability are key factors for me. I was tired of replacing failed or corroded parts every season on my old...
Pros: Excellent styling, great cooking grill! Cons: Expensive initially.
This is a fantastic grill by Weber. I purchased the one that has the stainless steel top and it looks great. My only real negative comment is the cleaning of the grill. Unfortunately, the stainless steel grates get dirty very quickly and require...
Pros: 100% reliable, 3 years straight. Very fuel efficient. Good looking, nice design. Cons: I can't think of one thing.
The Weber Genesis Gold BBQ is clearly the best of the best in gas barbeques. I have owned mine for 3 years, and it has given me 100% reliable performance and excellent cooking results every time. I actually put off writing this review, just to see how ...
Pros: Stainless Steel Durable, heat efficient, well designed, easy controls, great bang for the buck! Cons: Can't think of any.
I may be getting ahead of myself in this review but I just had to post what my experience has been with Weber. I bought a Weber Genesis II in May, 1990... 14 years ago! I reluctantly threw it out this weekend and have today ordered the Weber Genesis ...
Pros: Quality, Weber name, Looks, Performance. Cons: No cast iron grates
Weber is the king of grills! You can keep your $4000 Vikings, $1000 Jenn-Air's, this grill blows them away! I paid $550 at Home Depot, and another $55 for the cover, which is a little high, but it's pretty durable. The only thing I would change on this grill would be to add cast iron grates instead of the stainless steel. The only way to get the cast iron grates is to buy them separately through Home Depot, they have the exclusive rights to the cast iron grates with Weber. Other than that, this grill rocks, go buy it (or any Weber grill), you won't be disappointed.
Stop toying around with cheap grills too, I had a Char-Broil that lasted me 1 year and burnt almost everything.
Pros: Easily the grill's modular components. This design makes maintenance and cleaning a breeze. Cons: I wish I could've got a bit more cooking surface for the $600 price tag.
I bought this grill last summer. Prior to this one, I had gone through about three other grills of lesser quality. Initially I was a bit reluctant to buy this grill because in the past the previously mention inferior grills were considerably less expensive. Well, let me say it now. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! This grill is, without question, the best you can buy. It's rock hard sturdy, a breeze to assemble and setup, and you couldn't ask for better design and ergonomics. This grill is what they mean when they use the term "form meets function."
Pros: Solid Construction, Easy set up Cons: Heat isn't distributed evenly
I was looking to purchase a high quality grill rather than another "disposable" $150.00 grill. The Genesis Gold B turned out to be a disappointment. While it's obviously well constructed and will surely last many years it has one big flaw. The grill is much hotter on one side than the other. I called customer service and was told it's normal for the grill to be 25% hotter on one side. Put two steaks on at the same time and one will be well done while the other is medium. They had several oblivious solutions such as making sure the grill was level but nothing changed.
I can't recommend this grill at such a high price($550.00).
