Pros: Great customer service and a fair price Cons: No online tracking
I called several transport companies to research shipping my Range Rover from Lancaster Pennsylvania to Berkeley California. A2B Systems Inc. (http://www.shipacar.com/) came recommended by several people off the Northern California Land Rover club...

Pros: Go the job done. Humans answer the phone. Saved 40% Cons: Internet tracking doesn't work. They should ditch. Overkill with truckers on the cell phones anyway.
My experience in using A2B was fine. The only error in the process was that no one called or emailed me to tell me that my car had indeed been picked up and was well on its way. With that in mind, when it was getting near the end of the pick-up window ...

Pros: Friendly customer service,Accomodating driver, very reasonable price, cars arrived without a scratch! Cons: Only accept a deposit on credit card and balance must be cash or certified check
When I needed to move my two automobiles from New York City to Oklahoma City I called another carrier, a reputable highly regarded company that was reccomended to me. When I called another carrier I was disappointed to find that they had no availability ...

Pros: Reasonably price, 1 week advanced booking, resolved their mistake, fast delivery, quick customer response Cons: Not the cheapest but reasonable priced for not having to worry about your car
I booked transportation 2 weeks in advance and shipped my RAV4 from Durham, NC to San Jose, CA for an 8 day, $1300 trip. I also paid $60 for detailing the car after arrival. The brokered auto transport company called the day of the pick-up and asked ...

Pros: FAST, Professional, Inexpensive, Straightforward, and Courteous Cons: None that I could see - the process happened so quickly.
As many other reviewers I had researched transport companies as best I could before I made my final decision. I read many reviews - some good and some horrible. I ended up speaking with and getting quotes from five different companies to move my car ...

Pros: Car arrived in perfect (same-as-before) condition
Staff all very friendly (including drivers) Cons: Car arrived too early...but it wasn't their fault and they took care of it
I live in the DC area and just got a job in VA, requiring me to transport my car in LA to DC. After doing several days of research and reading numerous reviews (so many my head spun), I finally decided to take my chances with A 2 B Moving Systems. ...

Good experience
by aosugi ,Jun 20 '04
Pros: Fair price, delivered car on time in excellent condition Cons: No tracking system
I did extensive research before I picked A2B. Basically, I found that car shipping is largely unregulated and very hit or miss. A2B wasn't the cheapest, however, their price was extremely competitive. They picked up my car on time and delivered it from San Francisco to Baltimore in 13 days. My only complaint was they didn't contact me until my car was in North Carolina. They are a broker and work with various truckers. Because of this, A2B often didn't know where the car was. Despite this, overall I was very satisfied and would highly recommend them. I would definitely use them again .

Fast, easy, reliable.
by mashori ,Sep 19 '07
Pros: Fast and Cheap. Cons: Can't pay full amount on credit card.
This is my SECOND time working with these guys! I love them.
Fast and reliable. And cheaper than other quotes. Great communication. I was able to reach the people who drove the truck through their cell. They didn't take too much time and everything went very smooth. I had them ship a 1972 ford maverick from texas to los angeles.
The guy you communicate with will be from the A 2 B company. And they have dispatches that do the actual shipping/driving. They gave me they guy's cell directly and he was very friendly and professional. He dropped the car off right near my home and I had my girlfriend pick it up. The total was $650 and I gave the driver $500 cash. I could only put $150 on the credit card (the rest had to be in cash).

Quick delivery, cars intact
by franjaja ,Jan 03 '07
Pros: Quick delivery. Smooth transaction. Cons: cars were pretty dirty on the outside, which was to be expected.
I sent two cars via A2B. Because I was on a tight schedule, I had to deliver the cars myself to a location about 50 minutes from my home (my choice). The cars were delivered 7 days later (from Baltimore to Seattle). Since it was a couple of days before the new year's holiday, they contacted me three hours prior to arriving at a city nearby (20 minutes away) and told me they would arrive in the area and I could pick up the cars right away if I wanted to or if I wanted them delivered to my location, they'd do so right after the new year's holiday. I opted for the first option. I was impressed by how quick the cars were delivered and the process as a whole.

Clueless company
by sluschas ,Sep 28 '03
Pros: car eventually showed up, although with a cracked windshield
that wasn't there before... Cons: no idea where your car
contract jobs to other companies
About 1k to ship the car from Boston to San Fran.
No online tracking, and when I called they had no
clue where the car was or when it would come. Turns
out they contracted to Virginia Transport, another company.
Finally the driver called & said he would be there Thurs.
Thurs came & went, no phone call or msg from the driver.
Then he called & said Monday, but still didn't show.
Then Tues, no show. Finally he came the next Thurs
at 11pm. Needless to say, this whole process was very
annoying for the people receiving the car.
On the pickup, they couldn't send anyone to come get
the car, so we had to drive to their terminal to drop
it off, but they wouldn't discount the price.
We also had another surprise 2 days before scheduled
delivery - we needed either $850 cash (!) or cashiers
check made out to Virginia Transport on the receiving
end. We thought they would just charge our credit card
like they did for the deposit. Needless to say, the
short notice and the fact that we were traveling cost
us another $30 to FedEx a travelers check.

Dallas to Portland, OR
by an89ag ,Apr 08 '06
Pros: Excellent communication, excellent sub-contractors. Cons: None.
I had no problems everything worked as advertised. They subcontract out the delivery, which allowed for flexibility. I called on a Tues, my Trooper was picked up on Thurs, and it was delivered in a little more than a week very fast considering the logistics involved. They contracted with Gator Transport who did an excellent job. As I live in a downtown area, they could not deliver to my door. However, they knew of a delivery area I could walk to - one I did not even know they could use. A2B was not the cheapest, but I felt this might result in better service from the folks that actually deliver the car. I was given the cell phone of the truck driver who actually had my car, so there was no doubt where it was. Emails and phone calls with A2B were professionally handled. Very pleased with the result.

Great Service, Delivered as Promised!
by superpanfried ,Oct 25 '07
Pros: Great Responsiveness
Awesome attention to detail
On time
Very honest, no BS! Cons: Tracking would have been nice, but not a big deal.
I was pleasantly pleased with the amazing service and accuracy with A2B. I shipped two cars from Seattle, WA to Houston, TX. Each was shipped separately at my request so I could have a car on each side at all times. Staggering like this was extremely convenient for me and Clay at A2B was very accomodating. He even got me a guaranteed pickup the day before my flight. The cars were delivered as promised, no problems at all. All the people I dealt with were very professional. I was going to use DAS, but after reading all the horror stories, I decided to do some research and find a smaller company that would be more available and provide more direct service. Even though A2B is a broker and do not ship your car themselves, they used a great company (Gator Auto Transport) and handled everything for me. They were very responsive to emails. In fact, I don't even think that I had to speak to Clay on the phone. Everything was done via email!

Good experience
by meierfam ,Aug 28 '06
Pros: On time - date and time window. Courteous. Accommodating. Cons: Pickup: came a little earlier than anticipated.
Note: A2B is a broker; many companies will say not to use a broker but they have all had terrible reviews. A2B had great reviews so I went with them. A broker ain't bad if they work with good companies, which they seem to.
I had a convertible shipped from Los Angeles to Maryland for $1200. They had some kind of dispatcher in the LA area and knew exactly what day they were going to pick it up a week ahead of time. The quote said 8-14 days and it took 14 days. Traditionally a company will put convertibles on the top rack of a carrier so that top cars don't leak oil or whatever onto its cloth roof. Instead, they put a plastic cover on the roof which served its purpose. A2B used another company, Pioneer I believe, and they were fine.
One GREAT thing was that we had to change the receiver address the day of delivery and they accommodated. The alternate address was about 40 miles from the original and it was no problem.
They weren't great on communicating, but then again I may have called before they had a chance to.

A2B is Good
by buonodev ,Feb 03 '07
Pros: Fast, cheap Cons: Not enclosed
The price was very good for door-to-door AND the broker got me top placement for no additional charge. Driver was friendly. Fast too. Called Thursday afternoon and had the car 9 days later, from south Florida to Arizona (over 2000 miles). My car's status was a quick phone call away. Overall good experience. I would use them again.
