Pros: Stuff made it
Friendly folks! Cons: Scavenger Hunt
Monkey, hubby, and I recently moved. We left the frozen land of Rochester, NY to the frozen land of Olathe, KS. (Yes I do realize that next summer I'll be complaining about the heat).
His new employer just cut us a check to pay for everything...

Pros: Not to exceed price guarantee. Nothing was broken or damaged. Cons: Not really responsible for their damages. Can be expensive.
I have moved many times and one thing is for sure, the older you are the harder it is to move yourself. We moved ourselves to Indiana and after two short years we decided to go back to Florida
.for obvious reasons. Moving ourselves entailed lots of ...

Pros: Absolutely None I can think of Cons: Atlas does NOT recognize a Contract as a Binding Legal document.
Minnesota to Nova Scotia - a disaster! We were robbed, vandalized, over-charged, lied to and had our effects dumped into a warehouse 75 miles away (the town in which Customs were located) because the van driver had a pick-up in Halifax for a return and wa ...

Pros: good packing job, careful not to damage flooring and walls Cons: some damage incurred, job took longer than expected with the second move
When my husband and I moved cross country from Virginia to California several years ago, we used Atlas Van Lines and were very pleased with the service. We ended up using them again when we moved to our new house a year later, and that was also a...

Pros: Unloaders were very friendly and prompt. Our stuff was delivered within the quoted time frame. Cons: Items broken due to negligence and shoddy packing. No communication during delivery process. Unprofessional company!!
I see from a previous review that another customer had a lousy experience with Able Moving too. The representative for Able movers seemed very on the ball and responsive. He presented a great song and dance - their quote was extremely reasonable and ...

Pros: Low price, nothing was lost, I didn't have to do a thing. Cons: Late delivery, questionable customer service practices
The Mission: Move everything in our 2 bedroom apartment from Cleveland, Ohio to Pasadena, California. The first option that came to mind was to rent a truck. Penske, Budget, Uhaul, etc. We were quoted prices anywhere from $1600 to $2000, without tax; ...

Pros: Professional, Experienced, Punctual, No damage Cons: None!
This was the most pleasant moving experience. My move was a local move in DE. I had a couple of different salespeople come into my home to give me an estimate. Don Squires from American Van & Storage, which is an agent for Atlas Van Lines in Delaware, ...

Pros: Good customer service "after the fact." Cons: Dishonest, slow and sloppy
I recently moved from Aurora, Colorado, to Moore, South Carolina, and selected Atlas Van Lines, based on what I perceived as the professionalism of the sales agent who gave me the initial quote. Though the total bill (just over $10,000) was one listed ...

Pros: None, Nada, Zip, Zilch, etc Cons: There are too many for just 15 words!
We were going to get a U-Haul, hire moving men in GA to load the truck, and hire some more in VA when we got to our new place. But no! We decided to "splurge" and hire movers because it was supposed to be about $1000 more, but with 2 small kids, we ...

Pros: N. Carolina side of move was good. Cons: Unprofessional, had to move myself
This concerns my move from North Carolina to New Hampshire. The short story is that Atlas Van Lines sent only one (overweight, out-of-shape, bow-legged, old) mover for the move-in at New Hampshire. Because of the mover's condition I helped him move my ...

Pros: big name company, good price quote Cons: failed to deliver as promised, lots of damage to our possessions
The problems we had with our move were really the fault of the individual agent located in Denver, CO, not Atlas Van Lines themselves. However, since I can't remember the name of the agent, Atlas will suffer the consequences of my bad experience and I...

Pros: There were no Pros with my experience with Atlas Van Lines Cons: Liars, thieves, incompetent, you will be so sorry if you use this company.
Moved to Vancouver BC from Western New York in 2001. Atlas gave a quote of 2250 dollars and assured me he was an expert at judging weight of loads as he does this all the time. The truck arrived on time and loaded our things. I was told the truck would ...

Pros: I didn't have to drive 2500 miles myself. Cons: Liars, bad packing, items broken, delivery not on time, unreliable..
My experience with Atlas Van Lines was horrible and I regret having hired them for my move. I should have rented a U-Haul truck and drove the 2500 miles myself. In November 2007 I needed to move from Montréal, QC, to Salt Lake City, UT. I got quotes ...

Pros: Initial contact was ok. Cons: Late delivery and a bad customer interface.
I was moving with Atlas and they came out to my apartment and gave me a quote. I went over everything with them and said I wanted packing and unpacking. I move to a new town and the furniture is supposed to be there a few days later, but it shows up ...

Pros: I got my things. Didn't charge more than the estimate. Cons: Unresponsive, belligerent, and incompetent
I came out of this a lot better than a lot of people did because my things were not stolen or held hostage for more money, but I'm still very dissatisfied with the service I got. My move was handled by Ace Relocation, an Atlas agent. They were quick to ...
