Details: Pinpoint studs and joists! StudSensor 4 utilizes a patented sensor that scans through non-metallic wall surfaces to pinpoint wood or metal studs. It works through plywood, drywall, paneling, and most wood flooring. StudSensor 4 has exclusive, patented, instant calibration and miscalibration error warning. The patented chip design enhances reliability and performance, and does not emit any electrical or magnetic fields. Convenient size, electronic precision and one-touch operation combine to make this an indispensable tool for any household. Recessed LED display indicates stud edges. An audio tone also indicates stud edges. StudSensor 4 scans through most drywall up to 3/4 inch (2 cm) thick, and in DeepScan* mode can penetrate through thick, built-up surfaces like paneling or flooring up to 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) thick.
