This blender will do almost anything which can be done with a blender, from breadmaking (including grinding whole wheat) to standard blending jobs. Excellent for making frozen drinks. Can chop (not grind) meat. At full speed and long processing times it will generate enough internal friction to heat soups and make creamed sauces. Very heavy duty engine with super high torque. The mixing jars are very high impact plastic and can take a beating, although with long heavy use there is some slight chance of developing hairline cracks at the base which may leak. But the seven year guarantee is no nonsense, and they sent me a new one without even having to return the old one. Worth every penny.
