Pros: Fun little gadget, easy to store and clean Cons: Won't replace anything you currently own
I was taken in by the infomercials when stick blenders first became popular. The idea of making whipped cream from skim milk sounded like a great idea to me. So when they finally made their way to discount stores I purchased the Cuisinart Stick ...

Pros: You Can Blend & Or Puree Right At The
Stove! Cons: Power Cord Could Get In The Way.
At least that is what Chef Emeril Lagasse calls it. He uses either this one or one similar to it quite a lot on his two shows, Essence of Emeril & Emeril Live, featured on the Food Network!
It might seem that most of my reviews are on...

Pros: Functional Quality and Easy to Clean Cons: Making yourself use it
This little gizmo is for people that want to create original stuff as well as follow recipes. It will hardly ever get used unless you have it rigged for instant use. Mentally the process goes: 1) where is it? 2) Is it worth getting it out? 3) I probably...

Pros: Well made, very sturdy. Cons: Can't stand on the counter without tipping over easily.
We purchased this as a replacement for a Braun hand mixer. The Braun gave out after about two years of daily use. We looked at buying the same Braun as we had or moving up in quality to this item. We have had it now for about two weeks and it seems to...

Pros: Versatile, easy-to-clean, minimum storage space, blade won't cut skin, nice price, cuts down on kitchen clutter, good instructions included Cons: Does have limits to its capabilities, but considering the design and size that should be a "given"
As a fan of the Food Network I have watched both Emeril Lagasse and Sara Moulton switch on an "immersion blender" or "hand blender" and stared, amazed at the quick results. Of course, they have clean-up crews, so I never knew how...

Pros: easy, cleanup is simple, stores well Cons: uses are limited
I am a fan of cooking shows, and I'd begun to notice more and more TV chefs pulling out something they called an "immersion blender." It looked as if you could blend foods right in the pan with it, rather than having to dirty the several parts...
