Just a brief note to all consumers that in all cases, shipping your auto does not have to be a bad experience. As an auto transporter, we know that misunderstandings happen. To a great degree our industry has experienced a decline in service levels in recent years, and it is BECAUSE of the consumers desire to get a "great" deal. Prices continue to decline on the shipping of an auto, but costs of business continue to rise. There are many good and honest carriers in the market place, as well as a few good and honest "brokers". Many of the epinions I have read have been written about many of the less than stellar operations that are in my business. It has been a race to the death, to offer a cheaper price to "get the deal" but you, the consumer may not be aware that to save money, something needs to be cut from the service. This has been a disturbing practice that I have witnessed over the years. There is no clearing house for information, except perhaps comparing notes with a friend.

Allen Auto is a very reputable company, one that I have done business with for over 10 years. While there is always the room for improvement in every ones operation, I have found Allen to be most honest in their dealings, with us, the carrier of your car, which leads me to believe that they are honest with the customer, also.

I am in my 23 year of business, and have not built our operation with an eye towards customer disappointment. We try, as I know Allen Auto does, to provide the service we portray to the customer. The single biggest problem we experience is that many customers today have a less than real expectation of what is going to happen throughout the process. Don't be afraid to ask questions, the only stupid question is the one not asked. Also, do not be mad at the broker or carrier for things that are not within their control.This is a business filled with many variables. Many are beyond the control of anyone.

Believe me, it upsets me as much, if not more, than you, the consumer, when I read and hear some of the real horror stories of auto shipping. Yes, there are MANY brokers AND carriers that are very bad operators. You might have one bad experience, and never try it again, but that means that I have forever lost a potential customer. It makes everyone in the industry look bad, as these operations continue to let the customer down. Ask questions, be fair minded, and don't look for the cheapest price. Good Luck.
