If you ask most grill owners what type of grill they like most, many will say they love Charcoal for it's flavor, but not the hassle of lighting the Charcoal or Hardwood fuel. That's why they own gas grills.

Weber has created a wonderful solution. Like the way a catapult gives a fighter-jet a boost off the aircraft carrier, The Performer provides a quick, easy, foolproof method of lighting the coals - by gas assist.

Simply stack your coals in the middle of the charcoal grate, ignite the Touch-N-Go Gas Ignition, and in 10 minutes - you're ready to grill. No need for nasty lighter fluids, or newspaper ash flying out of your Chimney starter. Each LP tank can light over 100 loads of charcoal or Hardwood.

That is the obvious feature this grill provides. But other, less visible benefits lurk below the Stainless Steel work surface. Like a charcoal bin that will keep 20 Lbs. of charcoal bone dry, and handy. Also, there is a built-in duel purpose thermometer that you can use to monitor the temperature inside the grill, and then pull out to use as an instant read thermometer for your meat. (Don't leave it in the meat though). Even the indirect cooking kit is top-of-the-line.

It's as if Weber took it's pride and joy trademark, the Kettle, and said, 'You among all grills - shall have the best of all worlds!'.
