I was extremely lucky to have all the knives I needed since I discovered RADA Cutlery. These knives are not only affordable, they are durable and simply the best knives I have ever owned! I have had my set for almost 5 years now and will never think of buying anything else. I realize that knives, just like favorite blankets are individual, but if you are working on a budget and are in the market for good quality knives, RADA is the way to go. There are several different styles you can choose from, mine are the brushed aluminum handle, but all the knives, no matter what style you choose, are all made of the same construction. They are made in the USA, which is bonus, and they have a LIFETIME guarantee!!! And they mean it, I had a knife chip it's tip when my Father used it for a pry bar and I sent it back to the Company - not a week later, I received a brand new knife in the mail! They say that the knives are dishwasher safe, but I always hand wash mine. I would not recommend dishwashers since the handle will tarnish a bit and the knife will become dull faster.
