Banana Bread (Low Fat)

This is one of my favorite desserts, and this particular recipe is very low fat. It is easy to make, too. If you don't care about it being low fat, you can use regular milk (rather than skim) and 2 whole eggs (rather than 4 egg whites.)

Here's what you will need:

1 3/4 cup Whole wheat flour
1 1/4 tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Baking soda
2/3 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Applesauce
4 Egg whites
2 tbs Skim milk
1 cup Mashed ripe bananas

Here's what you have to do:

Stir together flour, baking powder, and baking soda in a mixing bowl.

Combine sugar and applesauce in a different bowl. Add egg whites and milk, beating until smooth. Add flour mixture alternately with bananas to applesauce mixture. Bake in a 9x5x4-inch loaf tin sprayed with cooking spray (like Pam) for 60 minutes at 350 degrees. (If you want to, bake in smaller pans for less time.) Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan, and place on wire rack.

I think you will enjoy this. If you try it, let me know how you liked it.
