Recently I bought a dream tool. The Multipro cordless Dremel, model 770. This tool is compact, lightweight, and powerful. The kit itself contained 50+ pieces and came with a plug-in battery charger. I found all the extra components to be very helpful for the beginner. Not owning many power tools can leave you nervous about what to look for when shopping in the hardware store. I admit the Dremel is not large power tool, but it is my introduction into the many different functions of other power tools wrapped up in one.
I purchased this to do small jobs around the house and art related projects. I was hesitant to buy a cordless model for the possibility of not having as much power. This model seems to do just fine. The battery initially takes 24 hrs to charge and works great once fully charged. First project made a wooden whistle out of a branch of wood. Beautiful!
If thinking of buying this model don't hesitate. It won't break your budget.
