Quick Italian Salad With Chicken

OK, now I'm poor, and hungry, so those two problems have forced me to become resourceful. I'm on a daily budget of about 14 dollars, so you can see my dilemma it's strange, I'm so poor, yet it seems I buy new computer equipment daily.. perhaps they're in some way connected....

Anyway, I really love salads, but I've noticed that unless I drown them in calorie laden things, they don't make me feel like I've had a real meal. Well, I fixed that.

First, I buy a bag of salad. These can usually be had for 2-3 dollars in a good grocery store. I dump in a bowl.

Secondly, I warm and add the Short Cuts precooked chicken strips, which were marinated in Italian dressing. These grilled goodies go for about 4-6 bux for 12 ounces of meat. And then, you guessed it, I add them together.

This is a very low-cal cheap meal, but most of us like dressing. I got you. It's Viva Italian Free and they take out all the oil, so it has 15 calories per ounce as opposed to the 90 calorie version. I bought it by accident, and it tastes exactly the same, which threw me. I'd always thought Free at the end of anything low fat meant free of taste. So, take all three ingredients, mix well and enjoy. Add some tomatoes if you like, but that's more money than I have *smile*.

Thanks for reading!
