Pampered Chef 9 x 13 baking stone dishFeb 02 '00 Write an essay on this topic.I had my first Pampered Chef party 2 1/2 years ago. The best investment I ever made was buying the 9 x 13 baking stone dish. You can cook anything in this pan. It is perfect for cakes, they don't get that rise in the middle and lower on the edges affect like they do in a regular cake pan. It is a flat cake like it should be. Spray the pan with a cooking spray and flour it just like you would any other cake pan. It is perfect for baking chicken breasts, pork chops, roasts, any meat you prefer. The stone heats so the meat is being cooked from the bottom and the top. Perfect, tender meat. An oven beef stew cooked great in it. It is perfect for hotdishes. It is big enough for a large family like mine, five kids eat a lot at a meal. The stone stays hot for awhile also, so when you set it on the table your food stays warm throughout the meal. You can put the stone in the oven and microwave. You can get your food ready the night before and put it in the fridge, and then pop it into the oven the next night when it is time to make your meal. The more you use a stone, the more "seasoned" it becomes. The more seasoned it is, the better it is for non-sticking. As is seasons it becomes brown, which in most things is not good, but for stones it is. I store mine right in the oven at all times. The stone costs $30.00 plus your state tax and a $2.25 shipping charge. Pampered Chef has a 3 year warranty on their stones, that means if you drop it, and it breaks or it breaks while using it and you still have your receipt, you get it replaced, no questions asked. I know, I broke one already, they were wonderful about replacing it. |
