Pampered Chef's Food ChopperJan 24 '00 Write an essay on this topic.I recently bought the much improved food chopper sold by Pampered Chef! The model they had before was sold all over and was made by Zyllis which I believe did an adequate job. The new one that is exclusive to Pampered Chef just came out recently and is wonderful!! The food chopper is good for chopping anything into small bits and pieces. Onion, chicken, vegetables and anything else you could imagine. You cannot put huge pieces in the chopper because it is only about 6 inches in diameter. But for instance with chicken, I just tear up chunks and stick it underneath the blades. To work it you place the food you want chopped underneath this gadget and pump the top handle up and down. As you push it the blades go up and down and rotate around also. It is dual action and I think that is why it chops in small bits so quickly. The results seem similiar to my mini Cuisinart Food Processor but it is easier to clean and no electrical outlet is needed!! I paid just under $30 for it and 3 monthes later, I still think it is worth every penny! To clean up, it comes apart very easily into 4 different parts and the only hard thing about cleaning it is getting to the blades. They are in a "V" shape and you have to be careful not to cut yourself when sticking your finger inside to clean the blades. I love how fast it chops pretty much anything with very little effort!! |
