Gotta Have!

Jun 21 '00

Anyone just starting needs to have a cordless electric screwdriver.

How many things are purchased that have those fearful words "SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED" printed on the packaging? Well that's not a problem with the right tool.

I recommend the Black and Decker angle cordless screwdriver. It costs about $30.00 and has a rechargeable battery. This one is light weight and easy to use. It will tighten all the screws better, faster, and easier than you can by hand. Being cordless, it can go anywhere easily without a problem. My husband and I assembled an entertainment unit one time. It took a couple hours to put together. By the time we were finished, our hands were cramped and blistered. We used a manual screwdriver. Never again! By the way, they also have a reverse switch, so you unscrew something too, very important. Zzzzip in goes the screw, if you make an mistake, you just flip the button, ZZzzip out comes the screw. Quick, easy, painless and no damage to the item you are working on.

There is always something that needs repair, tightening, or assembly.
Around the house or apartment, there's pot handles, a wall outlet, or a small appliance.

For a small investment, it makes life so much easier. The battery only needs a few hours to charge. Forget the major investments, go for an electric screwdriver when you are starting, man or woman. It's worth it.
