Magic MeatballsJan 17 '00 Write an essay on this topic.I have made this recipe many times over the years and it is always a big hit at parties. I like it because I can make the meatballs ahead of time and then just warm them in a crock pot at the party so they are always warm and tasty. My husband keeps asking me to make them for dinner too! MAGIC MEATBALLS AND MAGIC SAUCE 1 lbs. Ground Beef 2 cups Small Torn White Bread Pieces 1 pkg. Dry Onion Soup Mix 1 Tbs. Dried Parsley Flakes 1 cup Ketchup 1/3 cup Lemon Juice 1/3 cup Grape Jelly (yep, you read right, grape jelly) Mix first four ingredients well. Shape into 1 inch meatballs. Arrange in a baking dish. Pour sauce over meatballs. Cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until the meatballs are no longer pink in the center. I transfer them to the crock pot at this point. You can also serve these meatballs with baked potatoes, noodles or other cooked pastas. Leftovers are great and freeze well. Enjoy! |
