I have used glass and plastic blender jars. The plastic ones always smell. No matter how you clean them or what you use, THEY SMELL. Which makes me wonder just how clean and sanitary are they. If I can smell what I last used in there after cleaning them, what might be adhered to the plastic? I cannot express enough on using glass, it is more sanitary and germ free.It takes a lot to break them, if that is your worry.If you were a new mother, would you use plastic bottles for your child? Glass is so much better. Where your blade unscrews from the base of the jar does not seal as well if it is made of plastic, sometimes they tend to leak a bit. With glass jars you never have this problem.
