Pros:Agile, powerful, quiet, cute
Cons:Must unplug cords to open bag compartment or remove power head.

I finally settled on purchasing a Miele Red Star because of all of the glowing reports I had read on epinions.com. I had considered the top of the line WindTunnel by Hoover. Also, the Quiet Storm by Samsung. However, their vacuum cleaner heads seemed so big and bulky. I also had my doubts about how long they would last....my husband was always purchasing the "top of the line" department store vacuum for an optical store he managed, and he said they always fell apart within a year or two. I also tried to shop at Sears, but the salesman seemed to know less than I did about vacuums. So I headed to a Miele dealer where I got the attention that I needed.

I love my Miele! It's quiet. It gets so close to the walls! The first "test" I did was to sprinkle some rice right up against my baseboards..my old vacuum would never be able to suck those up. The Miele did it on the first try! I love being able to vacuum underneath my furniture...even low to the floor furniture. The petite vacuum head fits between, under and around almost everything. My house seems less dusty already, and the nap on my carpet looks better than it has in a long time. I haven't used a broom on my kitchen floor since I bought it...the Miele sucks up every tiny piece of dirt. You can adjust the amount of suction, so I can now vacuum my bathroom rugs and my dog's bed without tearing them apart. One of my favorite features is how the wand is height-adjustable. My 5 and 7 year olds are now able to vacuum their rooms because of the low height of the wand (when in it's lowest position) and because it's so easy to manuever.

The only con I have found is having to unplug the power cord, either to open the bag compartment, or to remove the power head. You don't have to do this if you buy the Platinum Miele, but I didn't think that the extra money was worth having a little more convience in this area.
