Sizzle and Stir! from Lipton

Written: Feb 21 '00
Pros:1 skillet,easy to prepare
Cons:none

I was in my local grocery store recently and was looking for an easy, quick meal idea(aren't we all, these days). I came upon a new item in the boxed dinner section. It was by Lipton and was caled Sizzle and Stir. The package looked appealing so I purchased the Savory Herbed Chicken with Bow Ties. I paid $2.99(regular price). There are 6 varieties to choose from: 3 Cheese Alfredo Chicken and Penne, Mild Cheddar Chicken and Shells, Teriyaki Chicken and Rice, Spanish Chicken and Rice, Lemon Garlic Chicken and Rice, and the one I bought.

You must also purchase a couple ingredients to prepare this stuff. My choice requires 1 lb. boneless chicken and a 10 oz. package of frozen baby carrots(I used a 16 oz. bag of frozen winter mix, instead). The other varieties suggest other veggies. The needed items are listed on a recipe card on the rear of the package. The instructions are easy to follow. The dish doesn't take long to prepare.

First: Cut the chicken into bite size peices and add to hot oil in large skillet. Add Lawry's seasoning blend(included).
Next: Brown chicken
Next: Add water and the liquid sauce(included). Bring to boil.
Next: Add pasta(included) and your frozen veggie. Return to boil. Boil for 12 minutes. Let stand 2 minutes for sauce to thicken.
Last: Serve the hungry masses!

I love the fact that with only 20 minutes and 1 skillet, I can prepare a delicious and filling meal. I'm sure we will see coupons for this product soon. I highly recommend you try this. It is a high quality, tasty meal for a reasonable price.
