My mom used to make these for my brother and sister and me when we were growing up. I now make them for my daughter and her friends. This is quick and easy and the kids love them! Over the years, I have made some variations that she and her friends ask for over and over. Look for these variations at the end of the recipe.

You can make as many as you need (1 or 100), so I'm not giving specific measurements.

You'll need:

Vanilla wafers
Peanut butter (smooth or creamy)
Marshmallows (large or small)

Directions:

Turn oven on broil. Spread thin layer of peanut butter on vanilla wafers. Top with marshmallows. (If using large marshmallows, half each marshmallow and place one half on top of peanut butter, cut side facing down. If using small marshmallows, place 5 to 6 marshmallows on top of peanut butter.) Place on cookie sheet and put in oven until marshmallows are brown on top.

VARIATIONS:

1. Spread thin layer of jelly before adding marshmallows.

2. Add a couple squares of a Hershey bar(yum!) OR a few chocolate chips before adding marshmallows.

3. Use chocolate flavored vanilla wafers OR for fun, the new colored vanilla wafers.

4. Use toasted coconut marshmallows (half them) OR new chocolate mini marshmallows. (I don't recommend the fruit flavored marshmallows).

The kids will love them and you might even enjoy a few, too! Please let me know if you try any other ideas. I'm always looking for new ways to make things!
