The Grip You Can Count On
Written: Jan 07 '01
Pros:Strong, comfortable and easy to work with.
Cons:None yet.
Two years ago for my Birthday my wife bought me the Craftsman Robo-Grip Pliers. These are a great asset to my ever growing tool chest, that now consists of many Craftsman products.
This was a special offer from Sears at the time. The set includes: The 9" curved, the 9" v-notch, and the 7" straight. A tool for every project, where normal pliers, or ratchet sets can't be used.
The 9" curved is great for hard to reach places, where you still need the leverage of a larger tool.
The 9" v-notch is for hex nuts that have been overtightened or rusted on. The v-notch grips on the corner of the hex nut for a sure fit, without the worry of slipping.
The 7" straight is used for very tight places, where you still need the leverage. The handles are made to conform to the contour of your hand, for a comfortable grip. You can exert the pressure you need for the job, because the grips adjust automatically with just one hand, so you can support the piece you're working on with the other hand, which makes for a safer operation. They are laminated for extra strength, and as always they are guaranteed for life.
The set also included 3 sets of Robo-Guards, that protect, Brass, Chrome, and other fine finishes from scratches and breaks. I have used my Robo-Grips constantly, from plumbing to repairing bikes; they have never let me down.
These are just another example of Craftsman innovative ideas that help make us do-it your-selfers life a lot easier. They are worth the price, and I recommend them for every household.
