Pros:cooks fast, simple to use

Cons:to much crust

I got one of these for xmas last year, I used it for a while but went back to making my grilled cheese in a skillet. The main problem I had with the product was the fact that half your sandwich ends up being crust because the cover presses the edges together to form a seal. I guess if the sandwiches weren't formed into halves by the pressure you'd actually end up with a better sandwich.

When I used to go camping with my family we had a similar device that was in the style of a wiener stick with a clamshell enclosure at the end similar to the sandwich maker. It worked much better as it only sealed the very outside edge of the bread and didn't devide the middle.

I also think they taste better in the skillet.
