If you have a friend that likes to cook and you want to give them an ultimate gift, this stick blender is the one. It is great for blending soup.
Now, in Indiana there is a soup called Burgoo. It has beef, chicken and all the vegetables from the garden and a lot of spices. They grind this stuff up and it is a great soup.
I got the idea to make my own when I watched Emeril on Food TV. He refers to these gadgets as boat motors. I simply think it makes great mashed potatoes and creamed soups.
When you frequent a great restaurant you will find homemade blended soups and I believe they use something so the soup is of the same consistency as what you can do at home with the great boat motor.
The boat motor is easy to use. First you have to plug in in with an electrical cord. I washed the bottom of the wand before I used it. Then just turn it on with the button on the top. It is very easy to clean. Just wash the bottom half in sudsy water.
I have used this gadget for a while and would think it would make a great Christmas present for someone that is hard to please.
The motor seems very strong and will take a beating not like some of the other products on the market that I have tossed into the trash. This baby will help you in the kitchen.
