| psugrowler's Full Review: Spring Air Back Supporter Mattress |
When I woke up this morning I had no idea I would be writing about my mattress. I thought that the good folks at Epinions had lost their minds. Then I figured that if someone could write about the drama of bidding for used underwear on eBay then I could tell all the Epinions faithful about my activities on my Spring Air mattress. Before writing this Epinion, I used to think that mattresses were all about sleeping, but in doing my research I learned there is a whole lot more to them than just rolling around in the hay.
Spring Air has been making quality bedding since 1926. Even today, their “free-end offset coil design” is the most copied design in the mattress industry. Spring Air has long been a leader in mattresses with the inception of the “pillow-top” and crafty marketing dynamics such as hiring Vanna White and a Kodiak bear as spokemodels.
We spend a third of our lives sleeping and many of us have a hard time doing just that. At least a third of the population suffers from some form of insomnia. We have all been there in one form or another and a sleepless night pretty much writes off a productive day. From this you can see that finding a comfortable sleeping arrangement is essential to our well being. Spring Air has acknowledged these facts and done their best to provide the best sleeping environment in the form of their mattresses.
The Spring Air Back Supporter mattress is specially constructed for comfort and longevity. The mattress provides seven zones of comfort with its proprietary Conforma foam. This foam is present in seven vertical strips in an alternating zigzag weave and egg crate configuration to help cradle your body. This design alleviates pressure from your neck, shoulders and back.
Next, five vertical zones of support help distribute your body weight. Strong, tempered coils give you stability and support. These coils are springy enough for your comfort yet rigid enough to make the bed strong throughout its surface so you don’t feel as if you are sleeping on a rolling waterbed.
Lastly, three zones of durability, again running vertically in the construction,
Help reinforce the support and give your mattress the stability it needs for long term use.
Additionally, I learned that there are many other factors to ensuring a good night’s sleep. Among them, diet and sleep space. You’ll be surprised to know that when one sleep partner moves the other is likely to toss & turn within twenty seconds. Getting a king-size mattress might be better for you. Other factors include ideal sleeping temperatures and protecting your bed from those pesky dust mites.
The Spring Air Back Supporter is a fine bed for making a sleeping investment. To be a true bed expert, you have to sleep in quite a few, like the bears in Goldilock’s. Spring Air is a respected industry leader in providing the fundamental comforts to attain a sound sleep. Spring Air has done their homework, the “rest” is up to you. Nighty-night. ;)
