| Keedis's Full Review: Kenmore Free-Standing Electric Ranges |
I bought a new house about 6 months ago and neglected to check the stove when I did the walk-through. The stove and oven were atrocious. The oven burned everything and only 2 of the burners on the stove worked. So I set out to go stove shopping. I found the clean top cooktop at a reasonable price and liked the way it looked, and the features it offered, self cleaning, electric, timer, & much more, so I purchased it. Some of the advantages to the cooktop are that it is smooth and spills and food debris can't drop down into the stove and leave a big mess to clean. However, when food does spill, it automatically bakes onto the top so you have to scrape it off with the special razor blade, or scrub it with a special cleaning cream.
The burners cook evenly and have many different settings, including a very low setting that just keeps foods warm. The oven advantages are digital oven setting that let you set the oven to the exact temperature you want. It cooks evenly and works great. Nothing has ever burned in my new oven! Everything from cakes to casseroles cook perfectly every time. The built-in timer setting helps to keep an eye on food as well. I have owned electric coil top stoves, and gas coil top stoves, and I think the electric range with the clean top cooktop is by far the best!I am sure I will enjoy it for years to come.
