| blackelve's Full Review: Presto Powerpop Microwave Multi-Popper 4830 |
I bought Powerpop with the belief that the popcorn from this popper would be light, fluffy, taste great and have very little kernels, if any.
I was sadly disappointed.
I ended up with more kernels from this machine then I ever have from a cheap bag of microwave popcorn. And what popcorn there was, was greasy and/or burnt. (in other words, nasty.)
The oil that came along with Powerpop was also a sore point for me. It says, buttery on it, it was far from buttery. It was almost greasy tasting.
The machine spewed out more of the oil then it did the popcorn. Leaving me to clean up a mess in my microwave.
I was very angry at this purchase. It was expensive and of course, after using you cannot return it. So to get this item out of my house, I sold it for 8.00 at a garage sale. For the price you pay the buyer expects a high quality product, not a fun name with promises of good popcorn and doesn't stick to its end of the bargain.
I refuse to try another microwave popcorn product that is even close to Powerpop. I get better tasting popcorn from the cheap generic microwave bags and my old air machine. (new one being purchased soon).
I really cannot recommend this product at all, I wish there was something I liked about it besides its' peppy name. It was difficult to clean, it caused more of a mess then needed for a bowlful of popcorn, and popcorn that the birds even refused to eat.
