Sucking Is A Requirement
Aug 19 '00
Numerous factors must be taken into consideration when purchasing a vacuum cleaner. You have to look at the value, quality, manufacturer's support functionality, durability, and ease of mobility. All of this must be taken into account when buying this appliance because you do not want to have to overpay for a vacuum cleaner that has functions which are not required of your cleaning surface.
Things That Make You Go Hmmm....
Can numerous levels of cleaning be done with it? In that I mean is there a separate setting for bare floors which can be used and also a setting for those thick plush carpets as well. It should have multi-level functionality because differing floor levels require different cleaning. Can it clean any type of floor surface or carpeting.
Does it have numerous attachments for your couch or for the corners? These accessories improve the cleaning capabilities tremendously and should be looked for by the consumer.
Is the bag used for the debris easy to remove or a pain to remove? Look for a model that has a simple snap out bag changing process which can be achieved in one easy step. It should only take five seconds to change the bag. Some models make that a huge hassle.
How often must the bag be changed? If too often, this is a variable cost than can rise rather quickly. Try to find a model that has a large capacity to save some money.
How big is it? A lot of the vacuums that are on the market are difficult to use because of their size. Is it easily transportable throughout the house? Is it not too heavy or cumbersome. Will mom have trouble with it? All of this must be thought of.
Is the company reputable and do they back up the product? Is the warranty covering all parts on the vacuum cleaner?
How loud is the cleaner? How well does it actually pick up dirt and other garbage on the floor? Test it out in the store! Almost all retail outlets allow you to try it out beforehand so take advantage of that opportunity. The only real way to be sure that you are making a good choice is to test it out before plunking down your hard earned cash.
These are all questions to answer when making a purchase of a vacuum cleaner. A well thought out decision will result in a high quality vacuum cleaner at a good price.
