When I was looking for a refrigerator I was looking something rarely found.....the freezer on the bottom. The reason for this was it was hard for my grandmother to get things in and out of the refrigerator with it on the bottom and I remembered when I was a kid we had one w/the refrigerator on top and freezer on the bottom so the search began. I found the only manufacturer for this was Amana and was able to find exactly what I wanted at my local Sears store. This appliance is very roomy in both the refrigerator and freezer. The outside is finger print resistant as well which is good when my nephews come to visit. The shelves are adjustable in both the main compartment as well as the door. I've have mine several years and when the time comes, I'd buy another one.
