I did not choose this vacuum cleaner. I did not want another electric vacuum, I already own a $1200.00 Kirby Vacuum. When I received the "Boss" from my sister for Christmas, I was, to say the least, a little disappointed. You see I have indoor/outdoor carpet in my kitchen area and it is a pain in the butt to keep clean. I know carpet in the kitchen is crazy you say, but it was there when we moved in and we have plans of building a dream house someday, so why bother changing it!


I had originally asked my mom for one of those red, zippy looking little vacuums that restaurants use. I thought it would be lightweight and work great in the kitchen. The "Boss" is what I got. Let me tell you, I have been PLEASANTLY surprised with my new favorite Christmas gift!

The "Boss" is a cordless, rechargeable, lightweight little vacuum cleaner. I use it constantly. I have a toddler that loves rice. If you have ever seen a toddler eating rice, you know why I needed this.

The vacuum comes in 3 different pieces: the vacuum, which itself resembles a dustbuster with a head on it, the handle and the handle grip. Putting it together was super easy, one screw to attach the handle grip and I was done. The handle can be detached by pushing a simple button and it can be used as a handheld.

The battery sits on a charging pack that can be set on the ground by the plug or attached to the wall. The battery needs to be charged for 16 hours before the first use but after that if you replace it on the charger after use it will last forever. The battery can be charged separate from the vacuum or you can leave it attached to the cleaner and plug the whole thing into the charger. It slides on and off very easily.

Does it work? Oh my goodness, YES!!!! I was absolutely amazed that something so little had so much sucking ability!! I zipped it right under the kitchen table and wow, all crumbs disappeared. Amazing! No lugging out of the closet the 800 pound Kirby anymore! I used it on the regular carpet in the house and it worked wonders there also. Picking up more than me or my husband could imagine. And so quiet! When running, it has no more than a very small engine noise. My little boy loves it, because he can even vacuum with it like Mommy!

Another bonus, it has no cord! It can not get tangled around couches or toys or chairs. It is about 10 pounds and can be carried from room to room with no strain at all.

The last neat part about my new "Boss" is the emptying of the dust cup. All you do is slide the dust cup latch up and pull the cup off. It has no messy bags to change, all you do is empty into the garbage can. It does have a filter inside which tends to catch all the fuzz and hair. This is just as easy to pull out and clean. It can also be washed by hand and replaced if it gets really soiled.

Overall I am extremely pleased with my "Boss". I would recommend it to anyone to have around the house for small pickups. Especially those of us who own Kirby's! Thanks for reading!
