By The Lady Who Sells The No Freezer, REFRIGERATOR ONLY style

Jun 05 '00 (Updated Jun 07 '00)

I talk to a lot of people who think they would like to have a standard sized refrigerator, but want it to be ALL refrigerator, no freezer. I would like to take this epinion space to explain that these are very expensive for what you get.

You don't really need to get into the SubZero type pricing in order to buy this type of refrigerator. It can be had, but, it is so plain and bare in appearance that most people change their minds when they realize it costs as much as a really nice refrigerator with a small or average freezer space.

The lower priced one has only racks, no glass shelving. It doesn't offer any specials in the way of deli drawers or fruit and vegetable bins, as a rule. It is just a big, cold place to keep things cool on racks. Many people react to this 'news' as "great! Just what I had in mind!". Yet, when they actually SEE this bare model, and hear that it is at least $700, they, usually, decline to buy it.

Understand, again, the less something is made, the more it will cost. This is a luxury item that doesn't look like a luxury. It just costs like one!
